This leadership position is part of the Corporate Procurement Category Strategy Team (CST). This is a key global procurement leadership role responsible to build, execute and continuously improve the category strategies for the Marketing, Commercial Excellence, and Corporate Communications Teams.

This role also will lead Procurement activities for other Corporate functions as needed. Regular interaction with all levels of the organization including the most senior levels of leadership is needed. This role supports the development and implementation of robust category strategies aligned to both functional goals as well as Procurement goals of aggressively managing spend, working capital and service requirements. Building and understanding the total cost of ownership for the categories is needed. Position manages a global team with two regional commodity managers in APAC (SEA & India) and one in EMEA.

This position will interface with Corporate and business functions to define category goals, build category strategy roadmaps and identify and deliver on specific requirements to implement functional strategy successfully. This person will need to invest necessary time to develop relationships with functional leadership to fully understand and support goals and objectives leveraging Procurement tools and processes. They will need to meet the expectations and requirements of internal customers and stakeholders; establish and maintain effective relationships with internal customers/stakeholders and suppliers to gain their trust and respect. Establishing win-win Honeywell/Supplier relationships is also key in this role.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Business
  • 7 years of procurement experience
  • 2+ years of marketing and/or communications category management or procurement experience

WE VALUE
  • MBA (or equivalent) desired
  • Extensive experience in procurement
  • Global/Corporate/Multi-site Program/Project management experience
  • Strong Category management experience
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt certification desired; Lean certification preferred
  • Program/project management and/or Procurement professional certifications desired; PMP certification a plus
  • Global/Corporate/Multi-site procurement experience desired
  • Strong technical procurement knowledge; deep SME experience in developing category strategies, experience in supplier planning, negotiations and contract management
