Temporary assignments are available for Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), Pediatric Emergency (ED), Pediatric Acute Care, Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CCU), and Pediatric Respiratory Therapy (RT) units.
Shifts: PRN - 36 hours
(3) 12-hour shifts
Assignment Length: 13, 17, 22, and 26 weeks with option to renew

Dell Children?s is the only Pediatric Level I Trauma Center in Central Texas and one of only five in all of Texas. It is one of an elite group of children?s hospitals that offer the highest level of care available to children who have been victims of trauma. Dr. Charles Fraser, a world-renowned pediatric heart surgeon, is the new chief of pediatric and congenital cardiothoracic surgery. In the past year, he has spearheaded the comprehensive Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease program in Austin at Dell Children's Medical Center. Over the course of his illustrious career, Fraser has performed more than 10,000 heart surgeries, refining techniques in the treatment of infants, children and adults with congenital heart disease. He is widely regarded as the successor to Houston heart surgery and artificial heart implantation pioneers Michael DeBakey, M.D., and Denton Cooley, M.D..
As an Associate with the Seton Family of Hospitals-TX, you will have the opportunity to provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.
What You Will Need
Experienced nurses - we have a place for you. In these temporary assignments, our nurses will be expected to hit the ground running. As such, highly prefer 2 years? experience in the desired specialty area.
- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required
- None required.
- strongly prefer 2 years? experience in the desired specialty area.
